As soon as this con call is over I am done for the day. Whew. What a week...and this call is a joke.
I actually got home at a decent hour yesterday - and thanks to some pre-planning my girls were here to greet me. Exhausted and happy...just the way a dog should be. And now I am wasting the last 15 minutes of my day before I sign off of work. Am I done with everything that needs doing? Heck no. But I have put in way more than 9 hours a day again and just need to call it a week.
I also played hooky for a couple hours this morning and got my hairs cut and the color touched up. I love it. Maybe someday I will get a photo up for all to see. Then again, maybe not. =P
This weekend will be a pretty mellow one. I will probably watch some of the ACC tournament at my neighbor's house tomorrow (he is also my hair stylist!)...and if I can convince them, maybe even some of the Pac10 tourney. I am going to try to get the Goodwill stuff in the garage loaded up and hauled over there. And I need to sew a button back onto one of Neil's shirts (my dryer tried to eat it a long while back). But mostly, I plan on spending a lot of time with the dogs and working some with Marly and sleeping in and just generally hanging out.
Oh yeah, and I am finally going to get around to photographing everything in the house for insurance purposes. In the event I ever have to file a claim it will help with proof of ownership. Especially with all the camera gear and electronics...and especially since my insurance will cover anything stolen from my car. That is huge with all the travel I do.
Next weekend Tommy (the neighbor mentioned above) and I are going to do some joint yard work. Neither of us is really sure where the lot line is and we have the atrocious light pole and electrical box out front, so we are going to plant some shrubs around that and are going to spread some lime on the lawn areas...then in a few weeks we're going to try to reseed the front of both our yards. (Apparently lime is the big secret to helping with the clay around here.) He is also a dear and is going to help me get some trees planted. Though that may not happen this next weekend...we'll see how much we can get done.
