A friend of mine demanded photos after my last post regarding the Common Grackles that had found my backyard feeders. Always aiming to please, I present to you, Mama Grackle:

A peek at my current home improvement project - paint. Today I got the hallways painted...though, the ceilings will wait until everything else is done. They are going to take some time as there is quite a bit of detailed edging to be done which means a lot of up and down off the ladder. I was debating whether to do the ceiling now or to wait, hence the air intake being taped off.
You can also see the teal that I put in the dining room which will match the kitchen (that is through the doorway on the left side of the hall) and a patch of the gold-brown that will be my bedroom and bathroom color (straight ahead).
As far as my consistency with the Project365 stuff...life has been getting in the way of a lot of things for me lately, I am shooting when I can and will be plugging photos into their correct days. So expect some jumps like this one from day 20 to day 24. I am hoping in another week or so that things will settle out again and I can get back into a routine that will allow for some photography too.
Yes, another bird at another feeder in my backyard. I have been so busy with work and home improvement projects that I haven't had the opportunity to get out lately and shoot. So, things close to home are what you can expect for a while...sorry! I'd take photos of the projects themselves, but mostly they are just paint colors...nothing too terribly exciting (going from beige to tan mostly with some deep turquoise in the kitchen and dining room).
Also, another day missed (Day 19)...que sera sera.
Today there were only two...usually there is a flock of up to fifteen of them that come to feed. Normally, they wander under the feeder area, but on occasion they will come up to get the seed directly out of the feeder if they aren't finding what they like on the ground. I believe this is the female...there is a shot of her mate on my Flickr page.
